Hi everyone! I’m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to use when talking with friends. After watching this video, you’ll be able to have a casual conversation with a friend, and to say something is “super.”
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
Hey, se den bil, mand!
Wow, den er super fed!
Once more with the English translation.
Hey, se den bil, mand!
“Hey, look at that car!”
Wow, den er super fed!
“Wow, that's super cool!”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “Hey, look at that car!”
That's: Hey, se den bil, mand!
Listen to it again: Hey, se den bil, mand!, Hey, se den bil, mand!
This Danish sentence literally translates as "Hey, look that car, man!” But it means “Hey, look at that car!”
Now, how do you respond to this?
First of all, you’ll need to learn how to say “wow” . That’s
wow, wow
Then, you’ll need to learn how to say “That’s super [adjective].”
The pattern is:
Den/Det er super [adjective].
For example:
“Wow, that's super cool!”
Wow, den er super fed!, Wow, den er super fed!
