| Christmas is one of the most important holidays in Denmark. It is a time when family and friends gather together. Danes also have a great number of Christmas lunches, where you eat traditional food and drinks while saying Goodbye to the passing year. |

| Pentecost is the shortest of the 3 main Danish holidays. As with Christmas and Easter, people usually celebrate by meeting for lunch, drinking, and generally having fun. Pentecost is also a time for coming-of-age celebrations, and many cities celebrate the days with a parade and a carnival. |
