| Gymnastics is the 4th most popular social sport in Denmark. 2% of Danes practice gymnastics and it’s also part of the national kindergarten curriculum. The DGI or Danish Gymnastics and Sports Association holds a massive meet every 4 years where Danes gather from the entire country. In the 2009 meeting, 21,000 athletes participated. |

The Danes have won 11 gold medals in badminton on the world level, one of which was an Olympic medal, won in 1996 and the only European gold badminton medal to date. |
