Your sentence is correct. When using the pattern, "Det er..." ("It is...") you always follow with a noun or an adjective.
If you use one of the verbs you mentioned, you use the pattern, "Det + [verb]."
"Solskin" and "stormvejr" are nouns. You can also say "solskinsvejr" instead of "solskin." "Solskinsvejr" means "sunny weather" and "stormvejr" means "stormy weather."

Is it the fixed pattern when referring to the weather?
Are solskin and stormvejr nouns? Or adjectives? However, regner and blรฆser are verbs.
If I want to refer "cloudy", can I use "skyet" this adjective?
